Legislative Decree June 30, 2003, No. 196 – TITLE II: DATA SUBJECT'S RIGHTS
Art. 7 - Right of Access to Personal Data and Other Rights
The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of whether or not personal data concerning them exist, even if not yet recorded, and their communication in an intelligible form.
The data subject has the right to obtain:
Information on the origin of the personal data;
The purposes and methods of processing;
The logic applied in case of processing carried out with electronic tools;
The identifying details of the data controller, data processors, and designated representative as per Article 5, paragraph 2;
The subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of it as designated representatives in the State's territory, data processors, or persons in charge.
The data subject has the right to obtain:
Updates, corrections, or, if interested, integration of data;
Deletion, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those for which retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
Certification that the operations mentioned above have been made known, including their content, to those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except where this proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared to the right being protected.
The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part:
For legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if relevant to the purpose of the collection;

Art. 8 - Exercise of Rights
The rights referred to in Article 7 are exercised through a request to the data controller or processor, even through an appointed person, without formalities, and the request is promptly acknowledged.
The rights under Article 7 cannot be exercised by requesting the data controller or through an appeal under Article 145 if personal data processing is carried out:
Based on the provisions of the Legislative Decree of May 3, 1991, No. 143, converted, with amendments, by the Law of July 1991, No. 197, and subsequent amendments, on money laundering;
By parliamentary inquiry commissions established under Article 82 of the Constitution;
By a public entity, different from economic public bodies, based on explicit law provisions, for exclusive purposes related to monetary and financial policy, the payment system, supervision of credit and financial markets, and ensuring their stability.
Art. 9 - Exercise Methods
Requests to the data controller may be submitted by registered letter, fax, or email. The Data Protection Authority may identify other suitable systems based on new technological solutions. If exercising the rights under Article 7, paragraphs 1 and 2, the request may also be made orally and, in such cases, will be recorded concisely by the appointed personnel.
The data subject may, in exercising their rights under Article 7, grant, in writing, delegation or power of attorney to individuals, entities, associations, or organizations.
